WIN GRAND NATIONAL 1990 (GB)

"Marcus Armytage achieved his lifetime ambition to ride the winner of the Seagram Grand National at Aintree on Saturday at the early age of 25, partnering the 16-1 chance Mr Frisk to a threequarters of a length victory over Durham Edition in a time that beat Red Rum's 1973 record by almost 14 seconds. It was the first National to be run in under nine minutes. Not many amateurs are successful in this hard race."
