JMC: Yesterday’s Racing Post page 6-7 Julian Muscat meets up with Andrew Balding and Elm Park at home with a pic that shows Elm Park at exercise partnered by Steve Wooley in the saddle. This pic shows how alert Elm Park is, and how he is paying attention to every move that Steve makes, and asks him from the saddle, a key factor of massive significance, as to tackling Epsom racetrack’s quirks and specific undulations, the two left handed bends down the hill that so often unbalances horses.  That can catch some horses out. 

Andrea Alzeini, Elm Park's partner in Saturday’s Derby, has much to thank Steve Wooley for, Alzeini will benefit from all the work that Wooley has done with this colt throughout his training every single day at home. The ride Elm Park gives Alzeini in this race will echo back what Wooley has taught Elm Park little by little every day, a massive plus for Alzeini. It is exciting very exciting for all connections that have a challenger for both the Oaks and the Derby, you've got to be in it to win it. All will depend on how the race pans out to be.
