JMC: Staying alive around horses. Keep well away from racehorses in training if you know nothing about them. A racehorse will pick up fast your every move, he will also pick up fast any anxiety you may have, and act accordingly. Take advantage of your uncertainty if in a confined place.

If you want to learn to ride be very careful where you go to learn. You do not want to pay to learn to ride the wrong way.

Horses in training may look very quiet, but if anything spooks them they react dangerously fast. Make no mistake about that.
